Silicon carbide brick is one kind of refractory material made of SiC as the main raw material. Mohs hardness is 9. It is stable for acidic slag. It mainly used in the manufacture of enamel, cast aluminum molds, electric furnace linings and heat exchangers for non-ferrous metallurgy.
A refractory product made of silicon carbide as a main raw material. The silicon carbide content is 72% to 99%. Generally, black silicon carbide (with a SiC content of 96% or more) is used as a raw material, and a binder (or a binder is not added) is used, which is obtained by processes such as compounding, mixing, molding, and firing. The main crystalline phase is silicon carbide. It has good wear resistance, good corrosion resistance, high temperature strength, good thermal shock resistance, high thermal conductivity and small thermal expansion coefficient. It is a high performance refractory material.
