Corundum brick refers to a refractory product having a content of alumina more than 90% and a corundum-based crystal phase, which has very high temperature compressive strength (up to 340MPa) and high load softening onset temperature (greater than 1700 ° C). It had excellent chemical stability, strong resistance to acidic or alkaline slag, metal and glass. The thermal shock stability is related to its structure, and the corrosion resistance of the compact product is good. Corundum brick mainly used in ironmaking blast furnace and blast furnace hot blast stove, steelmaking furnace outside refining furnace, sliding water, glass melting furnace and petrochemical industrial furnace.
The raw material used in corundum brick is a solid solution synthesized by a certain ratio of alumina and chrome oxide and melted at a high temperature. The use of special refractory production process to make refractory bricks can improve and improve the intrinsic quality of the products and improve the high temperature performance of the products. The physical and chemical performance indexes of some high-performance chrome corundum bricks (AK, AKZ) developed and produced by our factory have reached the performance requirements of some foreign similar products and corundum bricks.
